Second year students: start looking for a master project!
The Research Project is a mandatory part of the programme and generally takes place at one of the research groups at the UvA or VU, but it may also take place at an institution or company outside these universities. It can take some time to find a suitable project and make all necessary arrangements. Study association NSA: RiskQuest + anniversary celebration
In the upcoming weeks, study association NSA will be hosting a couple of events interesting for master students. On the 29th of November, RiskQuest will visit us and we will be doing an orientating case with them, in which you will experience what it's like to be a RiskQuest consultant by making an appropriate model for Loss Given Liquidation, which is the percentage of the outstanding money a bank loses in case of a default. You can sign up through this link. The case will be followed up by a free student-staff drink at the Polder! Finally, we are celebrating our anniversary by throwing a party at the 23th of November where everyone is invited! You can buy your tickets here or with the board of NSA.

Have you lost something in a UvA building? Retrieve it through iLost!
The UvA has entered into a partnership with the online service iLost. You could compare iLost to a search engine for lost items. The service can currently be used in the UvA buildings at Science Park, on the Roeterseiland Campus and in the University Quarter.
Study delay as a consequence of illness or other personal circumstances
If your personal circumstances have caused your study to be delayed, it is possible that you qualify for financial support. Find the qualifications here. Circumstances that happened in 2018 must have been reported to the study adviser. If you think you’re eligible for financial support, make an appointment with study advisor Marije Kaan as soon as possible to fill in the form.
