Dear ,

Congratulations on accepting your offer to study at Amsterdam University College and we are delighted to welcome you to the AUC community! To help you make the most of the months ahead, we'll be keeping you up-to-date on what you can expect from us over the summer and highlight some practical steps to make your transition to life at AUC as smooth as possible.

We will be sending you monthly newsletters until AUC Introduction Week starts at the end of August. Please keep in mind that essential need-to-know procedures and policies, such as enrolment and submitting course preferences, will be communicated to you through our Admissions Office.

Kind regards,
Linda Valenta

Don't forget: complete your enrolment in Studielink

Now that you've accepted your offer, you must finalise your enrolment in Studielink as soon as possible. You should have received an email from our Admissions Office informing you of this procedure. All incoming students will first be registered at (and pay tuition to) the University of Amsterdam. If you didn't receive this email or you're unsure about how to proceed, please send an email to servicedesk@auc.nl. Please note that the sooner you complete this step, the better!

Housing: manual allocation by our Housing Officer

Since you are a late applicant, you will be manually allocated housing; you will not partake in the regular selection procedure. Our Housing Officer, Naomi Tuinier, will be in touch with you to accommodate you in the most suitable house possible. You will most likely be allocated a 2-person or a 4-person shared apartment. You can find more information about the types of apartments on our website.

▶ LOOKING FORWARD

Deadline to submit exams, test results and final transcripts: 1 July 2024

We'd like to kindly remind you that it's essential to submit your final test results and transcripts to AUC prior to 1 July in order to complete your enrolment. We understand that the end of the term can be a busy time, with exams and other commitments, but we need to receive your final test results and transcripts as soon as possible to avoid any delay in processing your enrolment. If you already know that you won't be able to submit your final exams or your grades will not be available until after 1 July, please get in touch with our Admissions Office (if you haven't done so already).

Don't forget to arrange your health insurance

Don't forget to arrange your health insurance

If you're a Dutch student, then you don't have to take any action. If you're coming from abroad, don't forget that Dutch law requires all international students to have appropriate health insurance for their entire stay in the Netherlands from the moment they arrive. You should check whether your current insurance covers your stay and if you are happy with what it consists of. The UvA website provides more information about insurance and includes details on things to consider when choosing a health insurance provider.
