Let's reconnect this summer!

Dear alumni,

After some cold and lonely months, things are starting to improve and we can finally see each other again! On 28 August the AUCAA, together with AUC, is organising AUC's first-ever Homecoming event. This event is held especially in honour of the 2020 co-hort who did not receive an in-person graduation. During the Homecoming event we will welcome all of our alumni back to Science Park to hang out and re-connect. The event will feature live entertainment, and the chance to get to know the AUCAA board, and each other.

Keep an eye on our newsletter and social media platforms for a myriad of upcoming events and resources. We are so excited to see you and can't wait to be with each other.

Sincerely,

Gerylaine Campos on behalf of the AUCAA Board
Alumni & External Relations Officer

AUCAA Social Walk

This Saturday the AUCAA is hosting a social walk with students and alumni! The event brings together alumni and current AUC students in the same field for a cosy afternoon walk. AUC students get to ask all their burning questions on life after graduation, finding internships or taking a gap-year, and alumni get to share their wisdom while enjoying a stroll around sunny (or rainy) Amsterdam. Want to join the next social walk? Keep an eye on AUCAA's Instagram for future sign-ups!

This is why I recently started the YouTube channel A Life of Learning. On this channel, I share tips and tricks for students and recent graduates based on my knowledge and own experiences. I have also made a number of videos with info about AUC for prospective students, so if you know anyone that is interested in studying at AUC, make sure to share my videos with them!"

Share your ideas on the future development of Science Park

Share your ideas on the future development of Science Park

In 2019, the development partners of Science Park drew up a new Development Vision. This vision includes the ambition to transform the former Kruislaan into the lively heart of Science Park. The participating partners are currently conducting an exploratory study of the former Kruislaan (the road section in front of Polder between the Oosterringdijk and the intersection with MacGillavrylalaan). The aim is to draw up a programme of wishes and requirements this summer and then work towards a draft design for the area. This draft design is expected to be completed by the end of the year. Students and staff are encouraged to share their ideas on the redesign by filling in a 5-minute digital survey via the link below.

Show your support for the AUC Scholarship Fund

One of the ways in which you can support diversity in the AUC student body (if you are willing and able), is to become a donor of the ASF. As a university that values diversity so highly, it is essential that talented students are are actually granted the means to participate. The UvA, VU, and AUC are currently the largest donors of the ASF, but more funds are needed in order to support as many talented and diverse students as possible. Even the smallest donations can make a difference, and will be much welcomed.
