Congratulations on accepting your offer to study at Amsterdam University College and we are delighted that we get to welcome you to the AUC community!
In order to help you make the most of the months before starting at AUC, we will be keeping you up-to-date on what's going on around campus, what you can expect from us over the summer and some practical steps you can take to make your transition to university life at AUC as smooth as possible!
We will be sending you monthly newsletters containing "nice-to-know" information until AUC Introduction Week starts at the end of August. Essential "need-to-know" procedures and policies, such as enrolment and submitting course preferences, will be communicated to you through our Registrar and Admissions Office.

Prof. Dr. Martin van Hees started as the new Dean of AUC on 1 March and he would like to share the following message with the new incoming class: "Many congratulations to you with your admission to the Liberal Arts and Sciences programme at the AUC! Together with students from all over the world, you will join an active and vibrant academic community. We know you must be excited to begin this new journey and we are very much looking forward to welcoming you in Amsterdam."

Each year, we create spaces for incoming students to connect, can ask questions, learn about what is happening at and around AUC, and get assistance on their way to becoming an AUC student. The AUC Student Association (AUCSA), AUC Student Council are added to the Facebook group to help answer questions and give you insight on key moments, such as move-in and social events. For WhatsApp, there is an International and a Dutch group to help with discussing topics (e.g. moving, immigration) that might be more relevant to you.

In order to better support incoming students for 2021, AUC needs your help! We’re looking for a few enthusiastic ‘class representatives’ who will act as a liaison between AUC and incoming students in order to gather and communicate the needs and questions of their peers, as well as work together in building community and camaraderie in order to make the transition to university life as smooth as possible. Take the opportunity to get to know your fellow students and future neighbours by applying to become a class representative via the link below!

Over the coming months, you will receive important information from the Admissions Office, the Registrar and DUWO, your future landlord, about topics such as your enrolment, your courses and your your housing. Here is a snapshot of when you can expect certain moments to happen.
The dates for AUC Introduction Week 2021 are from 30 August to 3 September 2021. This week is mandatory for all incoming students. You will receive a detailed programme about the week's activities in August.
