The Legislature of Buenos Aires has formally awarded Kevin Jon Heller as a “Guest of Honor" (huésped de honor). The distinction of "Guest of Honor" is granted by decree of the Buenos Aires government or by declaration of the Legislature to foreign guests who excel in culture, sciences, politics or sports, or who have rendered "relevant services to humanity."

UvA is to award an honorary doctorate to acclaimed journalist Naomi Klein in recognition of her unique work on drawing attention to the adverse effects of globalisation and capitalism in the scientific and public domain. Her honorary supervisor is will be Ingo Venzke.

Opinio Juris, the the world’s first blog dedicated to informed discussion of international law by and among academics, practitioners and legal experts, and run by Kevin Jon Heller and Julian Ku, has been relaunced and has a new partnership with the International Commission of Jurists.

Geraldo Vidigal has been appointed Theme Developer for International Economic Law at Oxford International Organizations.
