SIB & Aiesec: Understanding a Senseless Conflict

On the 29th of November 2022 in Theaterzaal CREA, AIESEC and SIB are going to host a panel discussion on the current conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

The event will have a special focus on understanding how the mentioned conflict evolved from legal and historical perspectives. Our speakers will begin by providing their stance, which is subsequently followed by a panel discussion.

Therefore, if you are interested in topics related to the domain of Political Science, International Relations, International Law, and History, then this event will suit your interests!

The introduce the panelists, firstly, Dr. Marten Zwanenburg is a military law professor who will be talking about how accountability for violations of the law of war can be achieved for the conflict in Ukraine.

Secondly, Dr. Nevenka Tromp is an Eastern European Studies professor making a parallel between the Cold War and current conflict in Ukraine.

Lastly, Thomas van Linge is a conflict researcher who reports on site and maps out wars and uprisings, and has field experience in the matter.
