Maak kennis met de Brexit-experts!

Ten eerste, Matthijs Lok is professor aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam aan het departement van Europese Studies. Hij is gespecialiseerd in Moderne Europese Geschiedenis, volgt de Brexit op de voet en heeft voor meerdere jaren in Liverpool gewoond. Lok zal de avond aftrappen en zal sprekern over waarom nu uitgerekend het VK de EU zal verlaten.

Onze tweede spreker is Jonathan Zeitlin. Professor in Public Policy and Governance aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam, is een expert op gebied van EU governance en is nauw betrokken bij de Brexit-ontwikkelingen. Hij zal ons alles vertellen over het ‘waarom’ van de Brexit, de implosie van de Britse politiek en geeft ons een inzicht in de wereld na Brexit.

Last but definitely not least, Hans Maessen is dé douane-expert van Nederland en is heeft dus de nodige ervaring over het importeren en exporteren van goederen om ons alles te vertellen over de backstop en zijn plan om de Ierse grenskwestie op te lossen.

Get to know the Brexit-experts!

First of all, Matthijs Lok is Professor at the University of Amsterdam at the European Studies Department. He is specialised in Modern European History, follows the Brexit actively and lived for several years in Liverpool. Lok will kick off the evening and tell us why especially the UK is leaving the EU.

Our second expert is Jonathan Zeitlin. Professor at the University of Amsterdam who

teaches Public Policy & Governance, is an expert on EU governance and closely follows the

Brexit developments. He will tell us all about the ‘why’ of the Brexit, the implosion of British

politics and will give an insight in the world after Brexit.

Last but definitely not least, Hans Maessen is THE customs advisor of the Brexiteers. The customs and therefore has a vast amount of experience with the import and export of goods. He will elaborate on the ‘back-stop’ issue and how to solve the Irish border issue.
