In September 2020, Tiziana Melchiorre will join the Centre for European Law and Governance (ACELG) as a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow. She will develop a research project titled ‘The European Union in the Arctic.’ The project will investigate which legal and geopolitical instruments the EU could use in order to contribute to the protection of the Arctic environment.

Tiziana holds a PhD in International Relations from Stockholm University. During her doctorate, she was a Visiting Researcher at the Centre d’Etudes et de Recherches Internationales, Sciences Po, in Paris, and spent a one month research period in Istanbul.

Tiziana also holds an Interdisciplinary Master in East European Research and Studies and a Laurea in Internationational Sciences and Diplomacy with a specialisation in European Studies from the University of Bologna, Forlì Campus.

Furthermore, Tiziana has worked as a EU Project Consultant in consulting firms in Italy and as a Fellow at the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence in Vilnius. Prior to this, she was a trainee at DG External Relations (now EEAS) of the European Commission in Brussels and at the Council of the Baltic Sea States in Stockholm.
