The 14th Annual Minerva/ICRC Conference on International Humanitarian Law

Hebrew University of Jerusalem, 11-12 November 2019

 

The Minerva Center for Human Rights at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Israel and the Occupied Territories invite the public to an international conference evaluating recent developments in the law and practice related to military justice and, in particular, the degree to which such developments interact with international norms applicable to armed conflicts.

The conference, the 14th in the series of Minerva/ICRC annual international conferences on International Humanitarian Law, will take place on 11-12 November 2019 at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. 

Session themes will include – The Relevance of Military Justice; Justice in Military Investigations; International Crimes before Military Courts; Military Justice in Action; Key Challenges for Military Justice in the 21st Century; Human Rights Meets Military Justice; Military Justice and Power Imbalances; The Law and Practice of Military Justice; and Minors and the Military Justice System.
