Dear students,
We have all been looking forward to saying these words to you. And now the time has come, albeit in a modest form.
From Wednesday May 19 we can receive you again in the AMC and around J-plein. It will not yet be like it used to be; the meetings are limited in size and character, but after a long time there is a beginning. This means that from that day on the offices of study associations and J-plein will no longer be used as vaccination locations. It is truly wonderful how your associations and student council have contributed to making this space available. Many thanks for that!
We will of course keep you well informed about how, when and in what form we would like to welcome you again. This can differ per study program. As timetables cannot simply be changed, Medicine mainly focuses on the social aspect and Medical informatics courses will partly be on location. We will keep you informed via Canvas.

Marcel Levi, the former AMC chairman of the board who is now chairman of the NWO and who is also a Medical School professor, will be a guest in the new season of the TV programme College Tour. The filming will be on Friday May 14 in the Assembly hall of the UvA. If you have ‘the’ question for Levi, you could have a chance to be present. |

Many students find that taking a course or an elective abroad is an asset to their education. Until recently, internationalization almost always meant: Mobility. Concerning our own students, especially outward mobility. Internationalization has now taken on a much broader meaning. Consider International education projects, intercultural abilities courses or virtual classrooms. How do we tackle this? What does work, what doesn’t and what challenges do we face? What does it take? In this TLC Masterclass (in Dutch), five experts will address these issues. This Masterclass is intended for educators, Medical students and Medical informatics students and policy makers. |

| Master classes |
|
| Visit at Ksyos: Recently Monique Jaspers organized the 5th masterclass for all students at Ksyos. There was a presentation about digital care and the domains in which Ksyos is active. With a face masks quiz and further information about internship opportunities, the masterclass was again a great success. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
The next masterclass will be held on Thursday May 20. The health insurance company, Zilveren Kruis, will be our host and will provide insight into possible internships and functions after graduation. |
|
|
|
|
On May 7, 8 and 9 there will be an IT maintenance update on UvA systems and you will not be able to make mock tests. As of the 10th of May, Testvision will be available again. |
|
|
|
|
| Central question will be: “How can one be a successful as well as socially responsible entrepreneur?” |

Course evaluation |
|
|
|
The evaluation report of MAM05 and MAM06 2020-2021 have been published on Canvas, in the year course. The student reports will not be published. Because of the low reponse rate, the results are not reliable.
