What news will the next press conference bring ? We expect to be able to inform you shortly about how we will use the expanded options for social activities and/or education, quicktesting, etc. Check this page and the UvA corona page regularly, where you can read about what is or is not is possible for you as a student. But keep in mind, sometimes the rules for our faculty are different, as our campus is at the AMC. |

| You'll never walk alone |
|
Have you also had it with this boring existence, with studying at home, the curfew and the lack of perspective, festivals and café terraces? There are many initiatives to help and see each other in an alternative way. For examples UvA Walks. A walking buddy can be arranged soon. Put your sneakers on and get going!

… for participating in the National Student Survey. Thirty percent of you took the survey; this will give us a good indication about what you are and aren’t happy with. The results will be announced by Summer. This means we will be able to tell you in Autumn how the Medical Faculty will be handling these results. To be continued!

| Lecturers do their utmost to convey their knowledge as well and catchy as possible. Who, according to you, stood out and was inspiring, enthusiastic and good? Nominate this teacher for the honourable prize: ‘Lecturer of the year’. This can be done from the 6 till the 16 of April. |

Electives 2021: All trips abroad with the purpose of doing an elective or taking a course are forbidden until at least September 2021. As for travelling we are currently awaiting a decision by the UvA that will be made this Spring. Of course we keep you informed.

De SR heeft zijn jaarlijkse enquête uitgewerkt met hulp van het CEBE (onderwijskundig centrum). Er zijn interessante bevindingen uit deze enquête gekomen, waarop actie wordt ondernomen. Bachelorstudenten geven aan meer klinische ervaring te willen opdoen. Hierover zijn wij nu in gesprek met Gabor Linthorst en Ulla Remer. Masterstudenten missen nog ziekenhuismanagement, praktische vaardigheden en duurzaamheid in het huidige curriculum. Voor MI-studenten voldoet de huidige CSW niet aan de verwachtingen. De opleiding is hard bezig om hier verandering in te brengen. Meer weten over de resultaten? Kijk dan op onze site. |

| Due to a malfunction, the magazine collection ( AMC Literature) of the Medical library is hard to reach for bachelorstudents who log in via the BAMC route. |

| Physically and mentally healthy? Be inspired by the UvA health week from the 12th till the 17th of April. Besides meditation, sport lessons, motivational workshops and lectures by brain researcher Harm Krugers and psychologist Guy Winch, you can join a silent disco, a sleep workshop and a cooking workshop. Registrations are going fast, so sign up soon! |

HL7 FHIR DevDays |
|
|
|
The FHIR DevDays, 7-10 June 2021, bring together developers who work with FHIR. There is a discounted registration fee for students. You can meet with and learn from like-minded people working with FHIR, get one-on-one time with experts, and boost your technical skills through workshops, tutorials, hands-on exercises and presentations from the community.

Good concept to start your own company? |

|
The Amsterdam Center for Entrepreneurship (ACE) Incubation Program helps (graduate) students, researchers and academics to develop their tech or science idea into a successful company over the course of ten weeks (May 3 till July 12). The online program covers all stages of starting a business and helps you boost your entrepreneurial skills.

| Onder leiding van oud-chef, Nico Gunzeln, maakten de studenten een verrukkelijk 3-gangendiner klaar: bruschetta met tomatensalsa, romige spinazierisotto en een kokospannacotta met passievrucht toe. Het was een gezellige avond, waarna iedereen kon bijkomen van het harde werk in de keuken en nog kon nagenieten van het heerlijke eten. |
